BeauSoleil avec Michael Doucet put on a spectacular performance on August 18th for a full house. Their distinctive sound derives from the distilled spirits of New Orleans jazz, blues rock, folk, swamp pop, Zydeco, country and bluegrass. This was the first night of their AuRevoir Tour and they did not disappoint!

Before BeauSoleil avec Michael Doucet’s big performance, Manship Theatre brought Michael Doucet to Baton Rouge Foreign Language Academic Immersion Magnet as apart of the outreach program. En francais, the students were able to ask Michael questions about his passion for music, his musical journey and the inspiration behind the band. Michael Doucet performed many songs for these kids ensuring that this would be a morning they wouldn’t forget!
