Film Description:

Sam Sullivan is a man in his early 30s, living with Asperger's syndrome, from Shreveport, Louisiana. He moves in with his cousin, Derek, in an apartment in New Orleans so that he can start a job at a credit union. This is his opportunity to become independent and build upon his aspirations to have a job with income and to have a romantic relationship. Sam begins to realize his hopes for the latter start to come to fruition as he meets a woman named Amanda, who works at the same credit union as him. He starts to open up to her about his disability and shares his thoughts, fears and aspirations. Eventually, they start to date. Over the course of the relationship, they both pick up some valuable lessons. He is learning how to be social and romantically intimate, and she's learning how to open up to understanding and dealing with his disability.
