BECOMING SANTA CLAUS

Presented by Opéra Louisiane

Two performances: Friday, December 20th - 7:30pm and Saturday, December 21st - 5:00pm

Think you know everything there is to know about Santa Claus? Opéra Louisiane is proud to present the Louisiana premiere of Mark Adamo's Becoming Santa Claus, where 13-year old Prince Claus tries to out-do the Three Kings and their "gifts" to the unknown newborn child, with unexpected results!

Becoming Santa Claus is an enchanting holiday tale about young Prince Claus, who hails from an Elven realm in the far north. The son of a powerful Queen sorceress and a vanished King, Claus hopes his uncles—the Three Kings of Christmas legend—will attend his glittering 13th birthday. Instead, they send regrets and gifts for a mysterious newborn child. Feeling rejected, Claus recruits his Elves to create spectacular toys in an attempt to outshine the Kings and exact revenge. However, things take an unexpected turn in this captivating story filled with magic, wonder, and heartwarming lessons.

Premier Orchestra & 1st Mezzanine tickets include entry to the exclusive 'Becoming Santa Claus' After-Party! Join Paul Groves, Michael Borowitz, and the cast for drinks and hors d'oeuvres after the performance.
