Spillway Pilot Premiere

PRESENTED BY FILMS AT MANSHIP FEATURING AN INTRODUCTION BY THE FILMMAKERS AND CAST
Louisiana Made Film Series presented by Louisiana Entertainment a division of Louisiana Economic Development

SPILLWAY is a one-hour pilot for a crime series set in south Louisiana starring Damon Lipari as Detective Jack Landry.

Detective Jack Landry is attacked, and he kills his assailant. It seems black and white; however, the dead man was working undercover for a different law enforcement agency. After his attorney is murdered, Landry realizes that he is next. He goes into hiding in his childhood stomping grounds –the Spillway in South Louisiana. He must solve the case without his standard law enforcement resources.

The project was created, written, and directed by Jason Furrate of Baton Rouge. He wrote and directed the 2010 feature film, LA-308 ASSASSIN REDEMPTION which also starred Lipari. The movie is on Amazon and Apple TV.

Furrate has been in the local and regional production scene since 1978 working in Broadcast and Cable. He has numerous awards in the areas of advertising, news promotion, documentaries, sports programming and music videos. In 2019, he formed a production service company called Media Furrate which executed the filming of SPILLWAY.

The cast and crew are entirely from Louisiana with the intent to showcase local talent behind and in front of the camera. Jency Griffin Hogan is the Casting Director. Many of the actors are members of Love Acting, her acting school located in Mid City Baton Rouge.Several familiar faces from Theater Baton Rouge are also represented in the program, as well as a few local television personalities.

Supporting cast members include:  Chancelier Xero Skidmore, Jency Hogan Griffin, Richard Zeringue, Jeff Routier, Jennifer Johnson, Scott Mitchell, Stephanie Honoré, Joelle Stoker, Dima Ghawi, Wade Henderson, A.J. Sabine, and Tressy Liendecker.
