The theatre is located in Shaw Center for the Arts on 100 Lafayette Street in downtown Baton Rouge, across from the Old State Capital on North Boulevard and from the Hilton Capitol Center on Convention.

Directions

From I-10 North: Exit at Convention St. and drive down Convention to the Shaw Center

From I-110 South: Exit at Government Street, merge right with traffic and drive for a half mile. Turn right on St. Louis Street and drive to North Boulevard, where the theatre will be on your left after the intersection.

If you park in the state garages, please note the reserved parking spaces do not expire after business hours, and towing is being enforced for improper parking in those spots.

Accessibility

Wheelchair Accessibility
Entrances to Manship Theatre on both Lafayette and Third Streets are wheelchair accessible. Handicapped seating is available on all three levels of Manship Theatre. Patrons can either view performances from the comfort of their wheelchair, or use one of several transfer seats, designed to ease assist the patron in and out of the theatre seat.

Please call us at 225-344-0334 to reserve one of our transfer or wheelchair accessible seats.

In total there are 54 locations for wheelchairs in Manship Theatre. All of the seats in the First Mezzanine, in both Orchestra Boxes and in the Second Mezzanine Box Left can be removed to accommodate a wheelchair. Assisted Listening
Infrared Assisted Listening devices are available for performances at Manship Theatre. The theatre offers listening devices from Phonic Ear: infrared sound boosters, which offer earphones connected to a self-controllable volume device. Both aids can be obtained at the Ticket Desk, with prior notice. A driver's license or credit card will be requested as a deposit.

FAQ

Ticket and Processing Fees
Theatre M&E Fees: To ensure the pristine quality of the Manship Theatre, an additional $2.00 is charged per ticket towards maintenance of the facility.

Processing Fees*: Manship Theatre charges $0.50 for all purchases made in person, and $3.50 for phone and internet orders.

Mailing Fees* (optional): For an additional $1.00, patrons may choose to have ticket purchases mailed to their residence.

Sales Tax: 5% sales tax is charged for every ticket sold.

*These fees are waived for members of the Manship Theatre. Does not apply for Kids Club and Film Membership.

Infant in Arms
All patrons, regardless of age, are required to have a ticket upon entry of the Manship Theatre.

Food and Beverages
Both food and beverages are allowed in Manship Theatre and Hartley/Vey Theatres. They can be purchased before, during, and after shows at the bar located in the Jones Walker Foyer as well as satellite bars that may be set up on the ground floor of the Shaw Center.

Gift Certificates
Gift certificates are available in any denomination or to certain specific performances by calling the box office at (225) 344-0334 or purchasing at the ticket desk.

Discount Tickets
For select performances, students receive discounts at a rate of 10% over single ticket price, with a valid student ID. Senior citizens discounts are 10% over single ticket price. Group discounts are also available. Please contact Manship Theatre at 225.344.0334 for more information. Only one discount can be applied to a ticket order.

Ticket Exchanges
Tickets may be exchanged for a $5 fee, as long as the exchange takes place at least 1 week prior to the performance. All tickets are non-refundable. Some restrictions may apply.

Lost tickets
Lost tickets will be replaced, with proof of purchase, at the Ticket Desk on the evening of the performance only.

Cancelled Performances
Cancelled performances are refunded in the form of credit for future performances at Manship Theatre.

Security
Manship Theatre provides a safe and secure environment for its patrons. Around-the-clock security is provided on the premises by Shaw Center for the Arts. Also, additional security personnel will be provided by Manship Theatre during afternoon and evening performances.

In case of emergency during a performance, please notify a member of the Manship staff.
